Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Valley

The 2 Days Desert Tour from Marrakech to Fes departs from your accommodation at 8:00 AM. Next, the 1st stop will be in Ait Barka village at the beginning of the High Atlas Mountains to enjoy the incredible green landscapes. Then, the second stop will be at Tizi N Tichka summit to enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of the High Atlas and the Berber mud villages located at the edge of the mountains offering spectacular views.

Afterward, the expedition will continue to visit the ancient Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, declared a World Heritage site of UNESCO since1987 adorned with ancient earthen structures, making it a popular destination for travelers, and numerous movies and TV series were shot in this beautiful ksar such as Gladiator, The Last Temptation of Christ, Queen of The Desert, One Night with the King, Game of Thrones, Obelix and The Amazing Race.

After strolling and climbing up to the top of the Kasbah to observe a panoramic view of the entire place, we continue the adventure to Ouarzazate which is a city located in southern Morocco, its name comes from the Tamazight Language and it means without noise or noiseless, often referred to as the “Gateway to the desert” and the “Hollywood of Africa” thanks to its significant role in the film production that provides an overview of the city’s cinematic history.

Later, we head toward Boumalne Dades through Skoura Oasis known for its palm groves and traditional kasbahs. As well as the Valley of Roses in Kalaat M’gouna which is famous for an annual festival of roses usually on the 1st week of May bringing visitors from all over the world. Finally, reach the Dades Gorges and spend the night amidst the spectacular rock formations.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Merzouga - Overnight in the Desert

After breakfast, we leave Boumalne Dades and head toward the Erg Chebbi desert in Merzouga.

Our first stop will be where you will have a chance to wear the traditional Amazigh (Berber) clothes for photos. After free time for lunch in Touroug, we head toward the different and best part of Morocco through El Jorf, Erfoud.

Finally, reach Merzouga village, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes, in the afternoon to start the camel ride to the heart of the desert, enjoying the quietness of being in the middle of nowhere and watching fabulous sunset in one of the highest dunes.

After the sunset, continue the camel ride to the desert camp where you will be welcomed with a cup of mint tea, some sweets, and your private tent. Also, savoring a traditional Morrocan dinner under a starry open sky, enjoying the traditional Berber drums around the campfire creating one of the best memories ever.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Midelt - Fes

An amazing thing to start the day is to wake up early to witness the breathtaking landscapes of the sunrise over the dunes.

After breakfast, return to Merzouga village on a camel trek to meet your driver, then leave the beautiful desert and head toward Rissani which is the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, in this ancient town there is a traditional market that is lively more in 3 days a week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday).

After that, drive through the Ziz Valley and Middle Atlas Mountains on the way to Midelt known as the city of the apple. After lunch, we continue to visit the cedar forest of Azrou, home to wild monkeys known as the Barbary Apes or the Maquaques of Gibraltar, you can have a chance to feed them and photograph them.

Moreover, visit the landmark of the lion in Ifran, this city is well known as the Switzerland of Morocco and is considered one of the cleanest cities in the world.
