Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen- Fes

The incredible 4-day tour from Tangier to Marrakesh via Merzouga Desert depart with a pick-up from your hotel in Tangier, then depart from Tangier and head towards Chefchaouen, enjoying the fabulous views of the Rif Mountains in the north of Morocco.

First, we’ll pause in Chefchaouen to stroll in the blue streets, the name Chefchaouen was derived from the Amazigh language, meaning “look at the horns”, this beautiful town was founded in 1471 as a small Kasbah, The urban area comprises a medina, the ancient enclosed town, and a modern medina that has expanded beyond the original city boundaries.

Here, several places must be visited such as the vibrant Outa El-Hammam Square, Ras El Ma Waterfall which is a tranquil spot where you can relax by the water, and wander through the amazing blue streets of the medina, where every corner reveals a new photo opportunity.

Later, continue to the cultural city of Fes where you will relax and be ready for the next desert adventure

Day 2: Fes - Ifran - Cedar Forest - Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we commence the second day of the tour toward the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga desert.

The initial stop will be in Morocco’s “little Switzerland,” Ifrane, where you can admire its alpine-style architecture and the iconic Stone Lion situated at the city center.

Next, another break will be approximately 30 minutes later in the cedar forest, home to Barbary macaques, offering an opportunity to photograph and feed these wild monkeys.

After lunch in Midelt, our journey proceeds towards Merzouga, passing through Er-rich, Tizi N Talghemt pass, Errachidia, and the Ziz Valley.

Afterward, you will reach Merzouga village, also known as the entrance to the Sahara in the afternoon. Here, you will begin your camel trek into the heart of Erg Chebbi’s vast dunes, experience the breathtaking sunset, try sandboarding on the dunes, and enjoy the tranquil ambiance of the desert.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Boumalne Dades

Following breakfast, we start on the third day of the 4-day desert excursion towards Boumalne Dades.

Initially, we make a stop at Rissani, an amazing town known for its traditional souk bustling with locals buying and selling various goods such as spices, textiles, and handicrafts.

Subsequently, our journey continues through El Jorf, Touroug, Melaab, and Tenjdad, where you will have leisure time for lunch.

Finally, we reach Boumalne Dades and explore the distinctive rock formation famously known as Monkey Toes before continuing to the hotel in the middle of Dades Gorges.

Day 4: Dades Gorges - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

Today marks the final day of our tour as we depart from the Dades Gorges, traversing through the great landscapes of the Valley of Roses, the palm groves of Skoura, and the cinematic city of Ouarzazate. In Ouarzazate, you’ll have the chance to visit its famous film studios and explore the historic Taourirt Kasbah.

Then, Our journey takes us to the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a historic fortified village nestled in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is well-known for its impeccably preserved earthen architecture, characterized by traditional mud-brick structures encircled by formidable walls. With a rich history spanning centuries, Ait Ben Haddou has served as a backdrop for numerous movies and television shows, for example, the 1990 drama film “The Sheltering Sky”, the American epic biographical movie directed by Martin Scorsese “Kundun”, and the 1999 action-adventure movie “ The Mummy”.
